These conditions are set out in numbered Articles, like the conditions printed on a passenger ticket. The essentials come first in plain words; the Articles that follow are what applies.
The essentials
- Play Normandie is a social casino. You play for entertainment with virtual coins that have no monetary value. Nothing here can be won, cashed out or exchanged.
- You must be 18 or older, and you may hold one account.
- Buying coins is optional. You can always play with the free coins we give you.
- Every result is decided on our server before your screen shows it, and it can be checked.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, in your account settings.
Article 1. The parties and these conditions
1.1 These Terms of Service are the contract between you and TEST COMPANY, TEST ADDRESS 1 (“we”, “us”), which operates Play Normandie (the “service”).
1.2 You accept these terms when you create an account. Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Coin Purchases & Refunds page belong with them; please read them too.
1.3 If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
Article 2. A social casino, not gambling
2.1 Play Normandie offers casino-style games played with virtual coins, for entertainment only.
2.2 Coins have no monetary value. They cannot be cashed out or withdrawn, transferred to another player, sold, or exchanged for money, prizes, goods or services. You cannot win anything of monetary value.
2.3 The service is not gambling and holds no gambling licence. How well you do in our games says nothing about how you would do at real-money gambling.
2.4 Buying coins is never required to play.
Article 3. Who may play
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old. You confirm this when you sign up. We may ask for proof of age at any time and close the account of anyone under 18.
3.2 Each person may hold one account, for personal and non-commercial use only.
3.3 You may not use the service where the law of your country prohibits social casino games.
Article 4. Your account and signing in
4.1 You sign up with your name, an email address and a password. Every sign-in is confirmed with a one-time code that we send to your email address, or with an authenticator app if you set one up in your account.
4.2 Keep your password, codes and recovery codes to yourself. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at once at [email protected]. You are responsible for what happens on your account unless it happened through our fault.
4.3 Keep your email address up to date. It is where your sign-in codes go, and it is how we recognise you when you write to us.
Article 5. Coins
5.1 Coins are a virtual game currency. They are not money, electronic money or a financial instrument. When you receive coins, whether free or bought, we grant you a personal, non-transferable and revocable licence to use them in our games. You do not own them.
5.2 You receive coins:
- as a welcome gift when you open your account;
- as a daily bonus of 250 coins, which you can claim once every 24 hours;
- with the packages you buy in the Shop, sometimes with bonus coins included;
- as winnings in our games.
5.3 Free amounts and package contents may change. What applies is what is shown when you claim or buy.
5.4 Coins can only be used to play on Play Normandie. They do not expire while your account is open. When an account is closed, its coins lapse without compensation, except in the case described in Article 10.4.
5.5 If coins reach your account by mistake, for example through a technical error or a payment that is later reversed, we may correct your balance. Your balance and every change to it are shown in your Wallet.
Article 6. Buying coins
6.1 The Shop shows each package of coins with its price in real money, including any VAT that applies.
6.2 To pay, you are taken to the secure payment page of our payment provider. Your card details are entered there and never reach our servers. Some payment methods first need your billing address.
6.3 The contract for a package is made when the payment provider confirms your payment to us. The coins are then credited automatically, usually within seconds. If a payment fails or is cancelled, no contract is made and we charge nothing.
6.4 The Coin Purchases & Refunds page explains the details, including what to do if something goes wrong.
Article 7. The right of withdrawal
7.1 If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can usually withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
7.2 Coins are digital content delivered straight away. The right of withdrawal therefore ends when the coins are credited, but only if, before paying, you expressly asked us to deliver them immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal.
7.3 Without that request and acknowledgement, the right of withdrawal lasts 14 days from the purchase. How to use it is explained under Right of withdrawal on the Coin Purchases & Refunds page.
Article 8. The games
8.1 Every result is decided on our server by a provably fair random number generator before your device shows it. The animation only displays a result that already exists.
8.2 Each game pays according to the rules and multipliers shown in it. Over a very large number of rounds the games return about 97% of the coins played; any single session can be very different.
8.3 Each game shows its lowest and highest bet.
8.4 If a malfunction affects a round, the result recorded on our server applies. If a round could not be completed, or was plainly decided by an error, we may cancel it and return the stake.
Article 9. Conduct at the tables
9.1 So that the service stays fair for everyone, you agree not to:
- open or use more than one account, or use someone else's account;
- sell, buy or trade accounts or coins, or offer to, on the service or anywhere else;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to play, claim bonuses or use the service;
- take advantage of bugs or errors (please report them to us instead);
- disrupt or overload the service, reverse-engineer it, or try to gain access to parts of it you are not allowed to reach;
- pay with a payment method you are not entitled to use, or reverse a valid payment without good reason;
- let anyone under 18 use your account.
Article 10. Closing an account
10.1 By you. You can delete your account at any time in your account settings, under Leave the ship › Delete account, by confirming your password. Your name, email address and sign-in details are removed and the account is anonymised; your coins lapse. Records of paid purchases are kept for as long as accounting law requires. If you delete your account during a self-exclusion, we keep your email address and the end date until the self-exclusion ends, so that no new account can be opened before then (see our Privacy Policy).
10.2 By us. We may suspend or close your account, or remove coins obtained improperly, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other players or the service. Where it is reasonable, we tell you why first and give you the chance to respond.
10.3 Inactivity. We may close an account that has not been used for a long time. We warn you by email at least 30 days before we do.
10.4 Refund on closure. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund the price of coins bought in the 12 months before closure, in proportion to the purchased coins still unused.
Article 11. Changes
11.1 We may change games, features and Shop offers, for example to fix problems or improve the service.
11.2 We may change these terms for valid reasons, such as a change in the law or in how the service works. We tell you about important changes by email or in the service at least 30 days before they take effect.
11.3 If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. If you go on using the service afterwards, you accept the new terms.
Article 12. Liability
12.1 We run the service with reasonable care, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
12.2 We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited.
12.3 Otherwise we are liable only for foreseeable damage caused by a breach of an essential obligation of this contract, and in total for no more than you paid us in the 12 months before the event.
12.4 Because coins have no monetary value, losing coins that you won or received for free is not a financial loss.
Article 13. Law, courts and complaints
13.1 These terms are governed by the law of [Country]. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country and may bring a claim before the courts where you live.
13.2 In all other cases the courts of [City, country] have jurisdiction.
13.3 If you have a complaint, please write to us first, by email or through the contact form. Most matters are settled quickly that way.
Article 14. Contact
